Sharks' Pavelski named NHL's top star

NEW YORK, March 21 (UPI) -- San Jose Sharks forward Joe Pavelski was named the NHL's No. 1 star for the past week Monday after posting 11 points in four games.

Pavelski had three goals and eight assists as the Sharks went 3-1.

The league's No. 2 star is Anaheim Ducks goaltender Ray Emery and the No. 3 star is Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban.

Emery was 2-0-0 with a 0.99 goals-against average for the week ended Sunday.

Subban led all NHL defensemen with four goals and two assists.
