SAN JOSE, Calif., March 20 (UPI) -- Joe Pavelski's first NHL hat trick Saturday powered San Jose to a 5-3 win over St. Louis.

Pavelski added an assist to finish with four points on the night. Torrey Mitchell and Devin Setoguchi got the other goals for the Sharks, who won their third straight.

Antti Niemi came up with 42 saves for Anaheim, which leads the Pacific Division.

The Blues, whose playoff hopes are fading fast, lost for the third time in their last four games.

T.J. Hensick, David Backes and Andy McDdonald scored for St. Louis in this setback.

Blues goalie Jaroslav Halak was pulled after giving up three goals on 10 shots. Ty Conklin made 22 saves in relief.
