NBA suspends two players

NEW YORK, March 20 (UPI) -- The NBA announced Sunday Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum and Phoenix guard Aaron Brooks have been suspended for separate incidents.

Bynum was given a two-game suspension for a flagrant foul he committed against Minnesota's forward Michael Beasley Friday. The call came with 6:16 left in the fourth period of what turned out to be a 106-98 win for the Lakers.

Bynum missed Sunday's meeting with Portland and also will sit out the Lakers' game against Phoenix Tuesday.

Brooks was suspended for one game -- Sunday's Phoenix-Los Angeles Clippers contest. The action was taken after Brooks threw a ball at an official and hit him in the leg during the Suns' 108-97 victory over Golden State Friday.
