COL BKB: Kent State 72, Fairfield 68

FAIRFIELD, Conn., March 20 (UPI) -- Randal Holt pumped in 22 points Sunday and seventh-seeded Kent State logged a 72-68 win over No. 6 Fairfield in a second-round NIT game.

Carlton Guyton added 16 points and Michael Porrini contributed 11 for Kent State (25-11), which next faces top-seeded Colorado in the quarterfinals.

Justin Manns provided 10 points for the Golden Flashes, who put the game away with 50 percent shooting from the field in the second half.

Fairfield (25-8) got 20 points from Derek Needham.
