SUNRISE, Fla., March 19 (UPI) -- P.A. Parenteau got the decisive shootout goal and also tallied in regulation Saturday, spearheading the New York Islanders' 4-3 win over Florida.
Parenteau scored when he decked Scott Clemmensen and got the puck past him, ending a two-round shootout during which Islanders goalie Rick DiPietro stopped attempts by Florida's Mike Santorelli and Sergei Samsonov.
Micheal Haley and Michael Grabner also scored in regulation for the Islanders, who snapped a three-game losing streak.
DiPietro played for the first time since Feb. 2, when his facial bones were fractured in a fight with Pittsburgh goalie Brent Johnson. He stopped 29 shots and earned his first win since Jan. 15.
Evgeny Dadonov got two goals and Clemmensen ended up with 18 saves for the Panthers.
