Jacquelin takes one-stroke lead in Sicily

RAGUSA, Italy, March 19 (UPI) -- France's Raphael Jacquelin shot a 69 Saturday to take a one-shot lead in the Sicilian Open over Anthony Wall.

Jacquelin, who is seeking his first European Tour victory since 2007, carded three birdies and a bogey in Saturday's third round for a three-round score of nine-under-par 204.

Jaquelin played well enough in the stretch Saturday to move past Wall, who stumbled with three bogeys in the round. Both players finished up with a par on the tough 18th hole.

"I was just trying to concentrate only on my game, and I am really pleased with the way that I am hitting the ball at the moment," Jacquelin said.

Sunday's round won't necessarily be a showdown between Jacquelin and Wall. Phillip Price and Jamie Elson are tied for third at six-under with nine players right behind them at five-under.
