CHARLESTON, S.C., March 16 (UPI) -- Andrew Goudelock scored 39 points Tuesday and the College of Charleston edged Dayton 94-84 in a first-round NIT game.
Goudelock drained eight 3-pointers on 15 shots from long range and went 9-of-10 from the free throw line for the sixth-seeded Cougars (25-10).

Donavan Monroe added 23 points and Trent Wiedeman provided 15 points and six rebounds as the College of Charleston advanced past defending NIT champs Dayton thanks to a 54.2 shooting percentage from the field.
The third-seeded Flyers (22-14) got 21 points and 13 rebounds from Chris Wright.
