Wade, Parker earn NBA weekly honors

NEW YORK, March 14 (UPI) -- Guards Dwyane Wade of Miami and Tony Parker of San Antonio Monday were named the NBA's weekly conference players of the week.

Wade averaged 28.7 points, 6.3 assists and 5.3 rebounds for the Heat last week to cop the Eastern Conference award. It was the third time this season he received the honor.

Parker averaged 23.7 points for the Spurs, who went 3-0 for the week. It was Parker's second weekly award this season.

Other nominees were Boston's Nenad Krstic, Chicago's Derrick Rose, Golden State's Monta Ellis, New Jersey's Brook Lopez, and Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.
