
TORONTO, March 14 (UPI) -- Mattias Ritola scored twice and Nate Thompson added a goal and an assist Monday in the Tampa Bay Lightning's 6-2 rout of Toronto.
Teddy Purcell contributed three assists and the Bolts got goals from Vincent Lecavalier, Dominic Moore and Mike Lundin in its second victory in eight games.
Dwayne Roloson turned aside 30-of-32 shots and the Lightning pulled to within six points of Washington atop the Southeast Division standings.
Dion Phaneuf and Nikolai Kulemin scored for the Maple Leafs, who entered the game six points out of the final Eastern Conference playoff spot.
James Reimer started in goal for Toronto but was pulled after yielding five goals in 29 shots. Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 6-of-7 shots the rest of the way.
