NBA: Denver 114, New Orleans 103

NEW ORLEANS, March 14 (UPI) -- Ty Lawson and Raymond Felton combined for 45 points and 22 assists Monday, pacing the Denver Nuggets to a 114-103 victory over New Orleans.

Lawson compiled 23 points and 10 assists while Felton contributed 22 points and 12 assists for Denver, which improved to 2-0 on a key four-game road trip.

Wilson Chandler added 21 points and seven rebounds and J.R. Smith contributed 18 points as the Nuggets claimed their eighth win in 10 games and lengthened their lead over the Hornets in Western Conference playoff seeding to two games.

Chris Paul pumped in 27 points to go with 10 assists for New Orleans, which lost for only the second time in six games and maintained its hold on the West's sixth playoff spot.
