PEORIA, Ariz., March 14 (UPI) -- Seattle Mariners left-hander Nate Robertson will have arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow Wednesday, the team said.

Last season, Robertson, who signed with the Mariners this year, had a 6-8 record with a 5.47 earned run average in 19 games (18 starts) for Florida before being released in July. He was picked up by Philadelphia and made two appearances in September.

Robertson made it to the major leagues with the Marlins in 2002 and then spent the next seven seasons with Detroit.

He has a 57-77 record with a 5.01 ERA in 223 games, including 187 starts.
