
BUFFALO, N.Y., March 13 (UPI) -- Tyler Ennis scored twice and Mike Weber added three assists Sunday, propelling the surging Buffalo Sabres to a 6-4 victory over Ottawa.
Thomas Vanek and Paul Gaustad added a goal and a helper apiece for Buffalo, which improved to 7-2-2 in its last 11 games and strengthened its hold on an Eastern Conference playoff spot.
Nathan Gerbe and Brad Boyes also found the net and Ryan Miller turned aside 34-of-38 shot for the Sabres.
Jason Spezza scored two goals and added a pair of assists for the Senators, who saw their three-game road winning streak snapped.
Erik Karlsson and Colin Greening also scored and Craig Anderson yielded four goals on 17 shots before being pulled from goal in the second period.
Curtis McElhinney relieved and stopped 14-of-16 shots the rest of the way.
