
KVITFJELL, Norway, March 13 (UPI) -- Switzerland's Didier Cuche padded his lead in the World Cup men's super-G standings by winning Sunday's event at Kvitfjell, Norway.
Austria's Klaus Kroell and Joachim Puchner placed second and third behind the veteran Cuche, who leads the season super-G standings by 64 points over Austria's Georg Strietberger.
Cuche was timed at 1 minute, 33.05 seconds. Kroell came in at 1:33.35, 4/100ths of a second ahead of countryman Puchner.
Erik Fisher was the top American finisher in 38th place. Ted Ligety and Steven Nyman failed to finish.
Cuche is also second in the overall men's standings with 906 points. Croatia's Ivica Kostelic is atop the leader board with 1,356 points.
The season concludes this week with the World Cup finals in Switzerland.
