
OAKLAND, Calif., March 12 (UPI) -- Stephen Curry made two free throws with 11 seconds to play in overtime Friday and Golden State survived a flurry of late misses to defeat Orlando 123-120.
Orlando dropped 3 1/2 games behind Miami in the race for the Southeast Division title.
The Magic had a chance to tie the game in the final 20 seconds but Jameer Nelson was called for an offensive foul and Monta Ellis made two free throws for the last of his 39 points, to give the Warriors a four-point cushion.
After Jason Richardson brought Orlando within one with a 3-pointer, Curry made his two foul shots to create the final score.
Hedo Turkoglu and Richardson both tried and failed to hit 3-pointers in the final 5 seconds.
Ellis made 14-of-24 shots and grabbed 11 rebounds. Dorell Wright added 32 points for the Warriors and Curry had 22.
Richardson led Orlando with 30 and Turkoglu had 24.
Orlando had as much as a 17-point lead in the first half.
