NBA: Denver 131, Detroit 101

DENVER, March 12 (UPI) -- J.R. Smith scored 31 points Saturday, fueling Denver's 131-101 drubbing of Detroit.

Smith was just one of eight Nuggets players in double figures. Nene had 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Ty Lawson had 15 points and 11 assists as Denver won its second straight and fifth in six games.

Reserve Chris Wilcox put in 21 points to lead the Pistons. Richard Hamilton had 15 points as Detroit dropped its third-straight and fifth in six games.
