NBA: Chicago 118, Utah 100

CHICAGO, March 12 (UPI) -- Derrick Rose got Chicago off to a quick start, scoring 17 of his 26 points in the first quarter Saturday en route to a 118-100 Bulls victory over Utah.

Rose hit five 3-pointers during the pivotal period and the Bulls sank 13 from long range in the first half to tie a league record. Their 18 3-pointers for the game was a franchise record.

Luol Deng matched Rose's point total as Chicago won its sixth straight and 13th in its last 15 games. Kyle Korver, Joakim Noah and C.J. Watson also reached double figures for the Bulls.

The Jazz fell to 1-3 in its four-game, road trip despite 33 points and 18 rebounds from Al Jefferson and 24 points from Devin Harris.
