PHILADELPHIA, March 11 (UPI) -- A driving layup by Andre Iguodala with 13 seconds left Friday gave Philadelphia a five-point lead and wrapped up an 89-86 victory over Boston.
The 76ers won for the fourth time in five games and handed the Celtics their second straight loss.
Elton Brand and Spencer Hawes both scored 14 for Philadelphia, which is holding down the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference playoff chase. Iguodala added 13 points to go with nine rebounds and eight assists.
Boston was led by 18 points off the bench from Jeff Green, who recently came to the Celtics in the deal that sent center Kendrick Perkins to Oklahoma City.
The Celtics had won their previous seven meetings with Philadelphia. Boston lost for just the eighth time all season to an opponent from the Eastern Conference.
