BOSTON, March 9 (UPI) -- Mo Williams and DeAndre Jordan combined to give Los Angeles a big lead Wednesday and the Clippers held on for a 108-103 victory over Boston.
The Eastern Conference-leading Celtics had a five-game winning streak snapped and the Clippers won a season-best fourth in a row.
Williams scored 28 points and Jordan had 21 while making 9-of-10 from the field. They pushed the Clippers to a 22-point advantage early in the third period.
Los Angeles star Blake Griffin was held to 12 points, hitting just 4-of-14 shots.
Boston was paced by 23 points from Ray Allen and 20 from Nenad Krstic.
The Clippers shot 68 percent in the opening period and enjoyed a 13-point run in the quarter. Boston eventually climbed back within three midway through the fourth period but the Clippers then went on an 11-4 surge ignited by three free throws and a 3-pointer by Williams.
