DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., March 7 (UPI) -- Park Inbee collected a victory on the Japanese women's golf tour that launched her into the world women's Top 10.
Park posted a three-stroke victory Sunday at the JLPGA's Daikin Orchid Ladies tournament in Okinawa, Japan. That boosted her four spots to ninth in the world rankings, which were updated Monday.
The only other change in the Top 10 had Ahn Sun-ju, who had been the Daikin defending champion, dropping from ninth to 11th after finishing tied for 44th in Okinawa.
Yani Tseng (11.52 average rankings points) remains No. 1 in women's golf with Jiyai Shin (9.73) second. Choi Na-yeon (9.32), Suzann Pettersen (9.31) and Cristie Kerr (9.24) are in a tight race for third through fifth.
Ai Miyazato (8.46) is in sixth place and Kim In-kyung (7.71) is seventh ahead of No. 8 Michelle Wie (6.65). Park's rankings point average is 6.61 while Karrie Webb (6.45) again is 10th. Ahn's point average is 6.40.
