MINNEAPOLIS, March 7 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki had 25 points Monday, helping Dallas beat Minnesota 108-105 in a game in which the Timberwolves' Kevin Love tied an NBA record for double-doubles.
Jason Kidd finished with 13 points and nine assists and Brian Cardinal canned four 3-pointers en route to 12 off the bench for the Mavericks, who won for the 19th time in 21 games.
Love put in 23 points and grabbed 17 rebounds for Minnesota, giving him 51 consecutive games in which he has posted a double-double.
The feat equaled the NBA post-merger record set by Hall of Famer Moses Malone during the 1978-79 and 1979-80 seasons. The Timberwolves' third-year forward-center will try to break Malone's record in Minneapolis Wednesday against Indiana.
Michael Beasley scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds as Minnesota lost for the 11th time in 13 contests.
