CALGARY, Alberta, March 6 (UPI) -- Curtis Glencross scored the go-ahead goal in the third period Sunday and the Calgary Flames swept the season's series from Nashville with a 3-2 victory.
Glencross backhanded a rebound into a wide-open net during a scramble in front of the Nashville net midway through the final frame, giving the Flames the momentum they needed to finish 4-0 against the Predators this season.
Mark Giordano and Jarome Iginla also found the net.
Miikka Kiprusoff improved to 14-2-3 in his 20th straight start, stopping 21-of-23 shots as the Flames tightened their grip on fifth seed in the Western Conference playoff standings.
Martin Erat and Ryan Suter each scored first-period goals for Nashville. Pekka Rinne made 33 saves for the Predators.
Nashville held down the 11th spot in the West, only one point out of the eighth and final playoff berth.
