KNOXVILLE, Tenn., March 6 (UPI) -- Terrence Jones
sank a pair of late free throws Sunday and No. 23 Kentucky earned a conference tournament bye with a 64-58 win over Tennessee.
Jones ended the game with 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Wildcats (22-8, 10-6 SEC), who earned the SEC Tournament bye thanks to their third straight win closing out the regular season.
Brandon Knight fired in 19 points to help Kentucky secure the second seed in the SEC's West division.
The Volunteers (18-13, 8-8) got 18 points from Tobias Harris as they fell to their sixth loss in nine contests.
