NHL: New York Islanders 5, St. Louis 2

UNIONDALE, N.Y., March 5 (UPI) -- Andrew McDonald scored a pair of goals Saturday and the New York Islanders handed St. Louis its seventh loss in eight games with a 5-2 spanking.

Michael Grabner, P.A. Parenteau and John Tavares each added a goal and an assist for the Isles, who won for the fifth time in seven home games.

Al Montoya stopped 21-of-23 shots and improved to 4-2-1 since being called up from the minors with the win.

Chris Stewart and Andy McDonald scored for St. Louis, which dropped its fourth straight.

Ben Bishop turned aside just 17 shots for the Blues.
