NHL: Nashville 3, Columbus 2

NASHVILLE, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- David Legwand's goal with 1 1/2 minutes left in the game Sunday boosted the Nashville Predators to a 3-2 decision over Columbus.

Legwand netted the go-ahead tally when Blue Jackets goalie Mathieu Garon gave up a big rebound on a shot by Martin Erat that found the Nashville center in the right circle, where he one-timed it home.

Shea Weber added a goal and an assist, and Jonathon Blum also found the net as Nashville snapped a four-game losing streak and pulled into the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Pekka Rinne made 25 saves in the win.

The Blue Jackets got goals from Kris Russell and Matt Calvert. Columbus goalie Garon stopped 25 shots.
