NHL: Boston 3, Vancouver 1

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Milan Lucic scored the go-ahead goal late in the third period Saturday and the Boston Bruins racked up their fourth straight win, 3-1 over Vancouver.

Lucic knocked in the rebound of a Dennis Seidenberg shot with less than 5 minutes to go in the game, putting the Bruins up 2-1. The Boston left winger added a pair of assists.

Nathan Horton also scored and Patrice Bergeron added an empty-netter for Northeast Division-leading Bruins, who won a fourth consecutive game for the first time since the early weeks of the season.

Tim Thomas improved his career record against the Canucks to 3-0, turning aside 27-of-28 shots.

Manny Malhotra scored and Roberto Luongo made 22 saves for NHL-best Vancouver, which lost for only the second time after scoring the first goal of the game.
