EAST LANSING, Mich., Feb. 27 (UPI) -- JaJuan Johnson scored 20 points and dominated the glass with 17 rebounds Sunday, powering No. 8 Purdue to a 67-47 rout of Michigan State.
Johnson also was a defensive force, swatting away seven Spartans shots, while E'Twaun Moore added 17 points and Lewis Jackson chipped in with 16 for the Boilermakers (24-5, 13-3 Big Ten), who notched their sixth straight win.
Jackson also distributed seven assists for Purdue, which kept its hopes of a Big Ten Conference championship alive with the win.
The Boilermakers put the game away with an 11-2 run early in the second half and led by double digits the rest of the way.
Michigan State (16-12, 8-8) got 23 points from Kalin Lucas and now will likely need to win the Big Ten Tournament to earn an NCAA postseason bid.
