MONTREAL, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Andrei Kostitsyn's power-play goal with less than 4 minutes left Saturday boosted the Montreal Canadiens past Carolina 4-3.
Kostitsyn tipped in a shot by Roman Hamrlik, salvaging a victory for the Habs after they had blown leads of 2-1 and 3-2.
Kostitsyn, Michael Cammalleri and Tomas Plekanec each notched a goal and an assist for Montreal, which came into the game trailing Boston by four points in the Northeast Division. Lars Eller also scored.
Alex Auld stopped 28-of-31 shots as the Canadiens won for only the third time in 10 games.
Jussi Jokinen, Tuomo Ruutu and newly acquired Cory Stillman found the net for Carolina, which holds the eighth and final Eastern Conference playoff spot.
Cam Ward made 23 saves for the losers.
