Feb. 26, 2011 at 5:11 PM

WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Lavoy Allen scored 19 points and dominated the boards with 16 rebounds Saturday in No. 24 Temple's 57-41 decision over George Washington.

Khalif Wyatt came off the bench to score 14 points and Ramone Moore chipped in with 11 for Temple (22-6, 12-2 A-10), who pulled to within a half-game of Atlantic 10 Conference leader Xavier with the win.

Temple was able to bounce back from Wednesday's loss to top-ranked Duke with the victory, which saw the Owls rip off a 19-2 run in the second half to put the game away.

The Colonials (15-13, 8-6) were led by Dwayne Smith, who ended with 12 points and seven boards.
