COL BKB: Notre Dame 60, Seton Hall 48

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Notre Dame's Tim Abromaitis and Ben Hansbrough teamed up for 43 points Saturday and the ninth-ranked Fighting Irish downed Seton Hall 60-48.

Abromaitis scored 22 points, Hansbrough contributed 21 and the pair combined for 15 rebounds as Notre Dame (23-5, 12-4 Big East) improved to 16-0 at home while winning for the ninth time in 10 contests overall.

Carleton Scott added eight points and 11 rebounds as Notre Dame solidified its hold on second place in the Big East behind 13-2 Pittsburgh.

The Fighting Irish will wrap up their regular season with games against Villanova and Connecticut next week.

The Pirates (11-7, 5-11), who lost for the fifth time in six contests, got 16 points from Jeff Robinson.
