NHL: Columbus 5, Phoenix 3

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Matt Calvert scored the last three of five unanswered Columbus goals Friday, rallying the Blue Jackets past Phoenix 5-3.

The Coyotes took an early 2-0 before Columbus came back to win its third in a row. The Blue Jackets are 5-0-1 in their last six.

Power-play goals by R.J. Umberger and Jakub Voracek brought the Blue Jackets into a tie by the end of the first period and Calvert put Columbus in front for good 2:37 into the second with another power-play score.

Calvert added goals midway through the second and early in the third to give him nine for the season.

Phoenix had defeated Columbus in each of their previous five meetings.

Mathieu Garon stopped 25 shots to pick up the win. Ilya Bryzgalov was charged with the loss after giving up five goals on 34 shots.
