NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- The New Orleans Hornets said Wednesday they have obtained forward Carl Landry from the Sacramento Kings in exchange for guard Marcus Thornton and cash.

Landry, a 6-foot-9, 248-pound forward, is the key to the deal. A second-round 2007 draft pick by Seattle, Landry was traded to Houston that year and then to the Kings as part of a three-team, nine-player trade during the 2009-10 season.
