Griffin aced out Washington's JaVale McGee, who looked lame by comparison with his right-handed slam off a backboard bounce.

Toronto's DeMar DeRozan and Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka also competed in the event.

The Miami Heat's James Jones won the 3-Point Contest, Golden State's Stephen Curry won the Skills Challenge and the Atlanta team won the Shooting Stars event.

Jones beat Boston's Ray Allen and Paul Pierce, scoring 20 points in the final to win in his first opportunity. The 3-point event has players shoot five balls at each of five locations, with the final ball at each station worth just two points.

Curry beat Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook in the final of the Skills Challenge. Curry took 28.2 seconds to complete the shooting, passing and dribbling tests. Westbrook took 44.2 seconds.
