COL BKB: Florida 68, Louisiana State 61

BATON ROUGE, La., Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Kenny Boynton and Erving Walker each scored 17 points Sunday in No. 15 Florida's 68-61 victory over Louisiana State.

Vernon Macklin added 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Gators (21-5, 10-2 SEC), who notched their fifth straight victory and 13th win in 15 games.

Walker's 3-pointer less than 3 minutes into the game put the Gators ahead 7-4 and Florida never trailed again.

Ralston Turner put in 18 points and dished off four assists for the the reeling Tigers (10-17, 2-10), who lost for the 10th consecutive time.
