Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif., Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Aaron Baddeley shot a 2-under-par 69 Sunday to bypass Tom Couples and grab the championship of the Northern Trust Open by two shots.
Baddeley nailed down his third career PGA Tour win after catching up with and passing the two-time champion. Couples began Sunday's final round with three straight birdies but then played at a 5-over clip the rest of the way, tumbling into a tie for seventh place.
Baddeley ended at 12-under-par 272, two better than Vijay Singh, who also carded a 69 to grab sole possession of second place at minus-10.
Kevin Na (71) ended alone in third at 9-under 275, while Jimmy Walker (68), Robert Allenby (68) and Ryan Moore (69) were knotted in fourth place at minus-8.
