Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

NASHVILLE, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Keith Yandle and Taylor Pyatt scored second-period goals Saturday and the Phoenix Coyotes went on to a 3-2 victory over Nashville.
Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 30-of-32 shots, improving to 7-0-0 during a seven-game Phoenix winning streak that has seen the Coyotes charge into first place in the Pacific Division.
Lauri Korpikoski added a much-needed insurance goal 7 minutes into the final period. It came in handy when Shea Weber scored for the Predators after Nashville had pulled its goalie for a sixth attacker with 50 seconds remaining.
Sergei Kostitsyn also scored and Pekka Rinne fell to 3-1-1 in his last five starts, making 23 saves for Nashville.
