EDMONTON, Alberta, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Rookie Taylor Hall scored a hat trick in the third period Saturday, rallying the Edmonton Oilers to a 5-3 victory over Atlanta.

Hall, the Oilers' first-overall pick in the 2010 NHL draft, scored his 18th, 19th and 20th goals of the season on consecutive scores in the final period, notching his first career hat trick and single-handedly erasing a 3-1 Atlanta lead.

All three goals from the 19-year-old came on power plays. He poked in a rebound off stunned Thrashers goalie Chris Mason with less than 6 minutes remaining to hand Edmonton a 4-3 lead, which it parlayed into a third straight home win.

Ales Hemsky added a goal and two assists and Tom Gilbert had two assists for the Oilers.

Devan Dubnyk stopped 28-of-31 shots to earn the victory.

Dustin Byfuglien, Evander Kane and Andrew Ladd for scored for Atlanta, which got 21 saves from Mason.
