COL BKB: Syracuse 84, Rutgers 80

SYRACUSE, N.Y., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Brandon Triche scored four of his 17 points in overtime, sinking key foul shots Saturday in No. 20 Syracuse's 84-80 victory over Rutgers.

Triche drew a pair of fouls in the extra frame and went 4-for-4 from the free-throw line and Kris Johnson added three foul shots en route to 21 points for the Orange (22-6, 9-6 Big East), who improved to 4-6 in their last 10 games.

Johnson grabbed eight rebounds and Rick Jackson put in 18 points and grabbed 12 boards for Syracuse, which also got 17 points and eight rebounds from C.J. Fair in the overtime win.

Mike Coburn contributed 18 points and six assists for the Scarlet Knights (13-13, 4-10), who fell to the Orange for the 15th straight time in Syracuse.
