CHICAGO, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Corey Crawford gave up only a third-period goal and stopped 33 shots Wednesday in pacing the Chicago Blackhawks to a 3-1 decision over Minnesota.
Coming off a six-game road trip in which they went 2-2-2, the Blackhawks got their game-winning goal from Troy Brouwer 7:33 into the third.
Brouwer tipped in a shot by Dave Bolland on the power play for a 2-1 lead and Jake Dowell added an empty-net goal with 59 seconds remaining. Bolland assisted on all three Chicago goals.
Minnesota lost its second straight on the heels of a three-game winning streak. Jose Theodore made 34 saves in the setback.
