COL BKB: Kentucky 85, Mississippi State 79

LEXINGTON, Ky., Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Brandon Knight and Doron Lamb combined for 44 points Tuesday, sparking No. 22 Kentucky to an 85-79 decision over Mississippi State.

Knight pumped in 24 points and distributed seven assists, connecting on a trio of 3-pointers, and Lamb also drained three from long range en route to 20 points for the Wildcats (18-7, 6-5 SEC).

Terrence Jones chipped in with 17 points, 10 rebounds and five assists as Kentucky built a 13-point lead in the second half and then held off Mississippi State to remain undefeated at home.

Ravern Johnson led the Bulldogs (13-12, 5-6) with 21 points and five rebounds while Jalen Steele added 17 points and Dee Bost scored 16.
