NBA: Portland 95, Minnesota 81

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Wesley Matthews popped in 23 points Monday and the Portland Trail Blazers downed Minnesota 95-81, their 16th straight win over the Timberwolves.

Matthews grabbed seven rebounds and LaMarcus Aldridge added 21 points, six boards and five assists for Portland, which notched its fifth consecutive win overall.

The Blazers got 18 points and 13 rebounds from Dante Cunningham.

Kevin Love set a Minnesota franchise record with his 41st straight double-double, scoring 12 points and hauling down 11 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who haven't defeated Portland since March 25, 2007.

Minnesota fell to 13-42 on the season.
