NBA: Atlanta 94, Detroit 79

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Josh Smith had 27 points and 14 rebounds Monday in the Atlanta Hawks' 94-79 victory over Detroit.

In the first contest of a seven-game road trip, the Hawks got 17 points, seven assists and six boards from Mike Bibby as well as 15 points and eight rebounds from Marvin Williams.

The Pistons fell to 0-3 on a five-game homestand.

Tracy McGrady scored 14 points while Charlie Villanueva added 13 and Rodney Stuckey netted 12 for Detroit, which played without injured guard Richard Hamilton (groin).
