After the first-set shutout, in which Hantuchova held Errani to just 10 points, Errani opened the second set with a service break but Hantuchova won the next four games. It wasn't until the 12th game of the match that Errani held serve.

Hantuchova swept through the Pattaya Open without dropping a set. It was her fourth WTA championship and first since October 2007. Errani, whose last championship came in July 2008, fell to 2-3 in title matches.

Hantuchova collected $37,000 for winning Sunday while Errani took home the runner-up check of $19,000.
