CORAL GABLES, Fla., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Duke's Nolan Smith put in 18 points and Seth Curry added 16 for the fifth-ranked Blue Devils Sunday in their 81-71 victory over Miami-Florida.

Smith, who suffered a first-half eye injury, returned to dish off five assists and Curry keyed a tough Duke defense, recording five steals as the Blue Devils (23-2, 10-1 ACC) notched their ninth win in 10 games.

Kyle Singler added 14 points and seven rebounds and Mason Plumlee added 12 points for Duke, which continued on course for another Atlantic Coast Conference crown.

Reggie Johnson and Malcolm Grant each netted 16 points for the Hurricanes (15-10, 4-7), whose NCAA Tournament hopes were dealt a blow with the loss.
