COL BKB: Kansas 89, Iowa State 66

LAWRENCE, Kan., Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Marcus Morris scored 16 points and twin brother Markieff added 14 Saturday, propelling second-ranked Kansas to an 89-66 pounding of Iowa State.

The brothers each grabbed 11 rebounds. Tyshawn Taylor totaled 14 points and six assists for Kansas (24-1, 9-1 Big 12), which made a strong case to become the nation's top-ranked team with the win and Ohio State's loss to Wisconsin Saturday.

Brady Morningstar added 13 points for the Jayhawks, who shot 52 percent from the floor en route to their sixth straight win.

The Cyclones (14-11, 1-9) were led by Scott Christopherson with 16 points.
