Idaho had a three-point halftime lead and the game appeared headed for a close finish until Ledbetter briefly warmed up from long range. His 3-pointer with 7:58 to play gave the Vandals a 48-42 lead and he hit another shot from beyond the arc with 6:50 to go to put Idaho in front by nine.

Ledbetter attempted another 3-point shot with 5:37 left and although he missed it he was fouled on the play. He made all three free throws for a 54-46 advantage with 5:37 remaining.

Although he made only three field goals, Ledbetter led Idaho in scoring with 14 points. Deremy Geiger added 12 for the Vandals (14-10, 7-5 Western Athletic Conference).

Brockeith Pane led Utah State with 14. The Aggies slipped to 22-3 for the season and to 11-1 in conference play, but they still lead the WAC by three games over New Mexico.
