CINCINNATI, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer is preparing to list his home for sale, more evidence of his resolve to pursue a trade, observers say.

A real estate agent confirmed Palmer's five-bedroom Indian Hill, Ohio, home is being prepared to be put on the market, The Cincinnati Enquirer reported Wednesday.

Some reports have said Palmer would retire if he isn't traded.

The most recent statement from Palmer came through his agent, David Dunn, on Jan. 24 at the Senior Bowl.

"Because of the lack of success that Carson and the Bengals have experienced together, Carson strongly feels that a separation between him and the Bengals would be in the best interest of both parties," Dunn said.

Earlier that day, Bengals president Mike Brown had said Palmer would not be traded.

Palmer's Bengals contract runs through 2014.

Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden said he was operating under the assumption that Palmer would return as the starting quarterback.

"Until I hear something different, we're going to go forward with him as our quarterback," Gruden said.
