GLENDALE, Ariz., Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Ilya Bryzgalov logged his second straight shutout and Radim Vrbata scored twice Monday, boosting the Phoenix Coyotes to a 3-0 whitewash of Colorado.

He also blanked Minnesota 1-0 Saturday in Phoenix and now has five for the season.

Vrbata's first goal came 3 minutes into game on a Martin Hanzal centering pass after Ray Whitney had stripped the puck from Colorado defender John-Michael Liles deep in the Avalanche zone.

His second came on a third-period power play and Scottie Upshall also scored for the Coyotes, who beat Colorado for a fifth straight time.

Craig Anderson made 23 saves as fading Colorado dropped a season-worst fourth straight regulation loss.
