NHL: Edmonton 4, Nashville 0

NASHVILLE, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Devan Dubnyk posted his first career shutout Monday, stopping all 37 shots he saw to hand the Edmonton Oilers a 4-0 win over Nashville.

Dubnyk, a 6-foot-5 former first-round draft choice by the Oilers, collected his first whitewash in his 33rd career start. He was perfect on five Nashville power plays and made 16 stops in the first period.

He was backed by goals from Jim Vandermeer, Dustin Penner, Ryan Jones and Andrew Cogliano as the Oilers halted a four-game losing streak and won for the second time in 11 games.

Pekka Rinne let in four goals on 20 shots before being benched in favor of Anders Lindback in the third period, who made two saves as Nashville lost for the fifth time in six games.
