MONTREAL, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Carey Price registered a 35-shot shutout and Scott Gomez scored a second-period goal Saturday in the Montreal Canadiens' 2-0 defeat of the New York Rangers.
Price notched his fifth shutout of the year and ninth of his career, making 19 saves during a busy third period and lifting the Habs to their third straight win.

Tomas Plekanec added an empty-net tally for Montreal.
Martin Biron was saddled with a tough loss, stopping 27-of-28 shots as New York's losing streak stretched to four games.
