COL BKB: Vanderbilt 78, South Carolina 60

NASHVILLE, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- John Jenkins led four Vanderbilt starters in double figures with 18 points Saturday and the No. 24 Commodores dominated South Carolina 78-60.

Festus Ezell and Jeffrey Taylor each scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Brad Tinsley added 13 points and nine assists for Vanderbilt (16-6, 4-4 SEC), which avoided a three-game losing streak.

The Commodores shot 50.5 percent from the field and Taylor went 4-for-4 from 3-point territory in the victory.

Ramon Galloway put in 16 points and made four steals and Bruce Ellington added 13 points for the Gamecocks (13-8, 4-4) in the loss.
